Hi Metal, I would like to get some feedback / ideas from yourself and your readers about a predicament I find myself in.

Just to give you some background first.  I am a switch.  I love to bottom for heavy bondage but rarely get a chance here.  Most of the time when I do get to play I am top as I know way more about it than any of the other guys that are around here.  I also don’t believe in doing something to someone else that I haven’t experienced first myself so that I know the feelings and the limits.  This philosophy has stood me in good stead so far.

My problem is this – Of late I have been discussing long term bondage with several friends.  One thing led to another and I have agreed to trying a session when I am in Vancouver.  What I have agreed to is this:  I am to be put into an aquala drysuit, latex hood and locking latex fist mitts with electro (butt plug and cock rings) on.  I am then to be put into my leather combination sleepsack / straight jacket, laced tight and all the straps (16 – each of which has a padlock on it) put on tightly as well as a gag and a leather isolation hood (also locked).  I will then be tied down and left that way – with intermittent electro for a minimum of 12 hours (max to be determined by my captor). This sounded like a great experience to me to begin with but the more I think about it the more problems I encounter.  To begin with I have never spent more than 4 or 5 hours in a suit and certainly not restrained.  By that time it was getting uncomfortable even though I was at the bar with other distractions.  Also being hooded that long worries me.

So to this end I have started experimenting a bit, hoping to work up to it and work out the kinks – not too easy when you rarely have anyone else around.  So far I have tried several different hoods but have not managed to go more than 4 hours.  The problems I have encountered are this – first off my sinuses tend to plug up when I am on my back so I will need a hood with an open mouth and a breathe-through gag.  Also they put a lot of pressure on the jaw and that creates allot of pain after a while.  No idea how to fix that one.  The last, more severe problem is that after a few hours sweat is pooling in my eyes and its like acid.  I don’t mind discomfort but I am not into prolonged pain.  Any ideas on how to get around this?

As far as the gag goes I have only ever had one for 2 hours.  It was extremely uncomfortable for the first 40 or 50 min then the muscles seemed to go numb and it wasn’t too bad for the rest of the time.  Is this common?

The fist mitts also presented a problem as the locking straps started to cut into my wrists but I think I have solved that one by trimming the strap width down.  Now I need to try them again to find out.  (Again I need to wait for someone to come through here to help)

I plan to keep experimenting to find the best solutions for these problems and, probably more that I will encounter before hand, but any advice and/or suggestions will be welcome.  I know that once those locks click I will no longer have any choice in the matter so I had better be prepared for what is to come.  12 hours is a long time for me to spend that way and it may end up even longer.  No matter what I do it can increase my time.  Complaining about the discomfort / pain usually just nets more time while taking it stoically can be interpreted as a sign that its not bad and you can take more – either way it becomes a no win situation for me.  I have agreed to this and there is no way that I will back out but hopefully, with input and careful planning, it will take what could be a horrific experience and make it into an incredible experience instead.

I’ll try to keep you and your readers apprised of my experiments in this but they will probably be infrequent as they will require others to help.
