Pilot Program

On Thursday the team met to discuss the outcome of the focus group and the plans for the pilot program.  They all agreed that the meeting with the focus group went well.  They got a lot of good feedback that confirmed some of the things they had already figured out and provided some new ideas.  Then they worked on the rules for the Pilot Program.

Participants in the focus group would be asked to set up a partner account with Jeff as the controller.  They would be told that Jeff would relinquish control immediately if any of them wanted to opt-out of the program.  He would also provide them with self-control of the device whenever requested.  Use of any additional features would initially be under self-control.  As the program developed, they may limit self-control, but they would always have the option to opt-out.

They also developed a survey that would eventually become the app settings for the program:

For the pilot program, they would ask that the participants who choose options with durations, events, or goals to choose ones that were short term so they can get through a few cycles during the pilot program.  For the small group they would have for the pilot program, it should not be too difficult to manage it manually until the app updated can be implemented.

The question came up about those who wanted to try features that required training.  Matt said that he could arrange training for anyone who needed it.  He also suggested that Jeff and Brad have enough experience that they could become approved trainers.  Matt said he would see about getting them approved for that role.

After some introductory remarks, in particular thanking the participants for their feedback and responses, the discussion continued with a focus on additional belt features.  The consensus was that the pain and punishment settings might be too personal to be used in a program like this.  The pleasurable settings might enhance the program.  They did not reach agreement on how they may be applied to the program.

Jeff then moved on to the topic of the pilot program.  He said he was glad that most were interested or at least willing to participate in the pilot program.  He sent them the questionnaire that he prepared.  He explained that those who will participate in the pilot program should set up a partner account with Jeff.  He said initially any extra features would be under self-control.  He encouraged them to try getting some of the extra features to see what they were like.  For those who want to try features that require training, Matt can help them with that, and Jeff and Brad expected to be approved for training soon.  He also told them that he and Brad are in belts that have all the features, so if any of them were interested, they would be glad to have individual conversations about any of the features.

Initially they would only surrender control for when the belt could be removed.  When they completed the questionnaire, he would figure out a plan for releases.  He said that if anyone asked for release for any reason over the next week it would be granted.  After that it will be based on the agreed terms from the questionnaire.  He said it would be helpful if they could get the questionnaires returned and the partner account set up by Wednesday morning.  For those who could not get it done by then, he asked that they get it by Friday morning at the latest.

He also assured them that it was fine if they were nervous or had any questions.  He said that any of the group leaders, Steve, Jeff, Brad, Matt, or David would be glad to talk to them privately.  He also said that for now at least he would still like anyone who does not want to participate in the pilot program to continue as part of the focus group.

Jeff dismissed the meeting about 15 minutes early, asking that they use this time to fill out the questionnaire.  They were welcome to stay in the room or go somewhere else to do it.  He also said that the group leaders were available if anyone had questions that they wanted to ask one-on-one.

The group met on Wednesday instead of Thursday so that Steve could participate.  Jeff reported that three questionnaires were completed right after the meeting, two more that morning.  One person requested to be out of the belt over the weekend and another on Friday, which is his day off.  Jeff responded that he would let them out for those days.

They reviewed the questionnaire results:

It was suggested that Jeff reach out to the two who have not yet responded to see if either of them would be willing to try goal-based releases.  Other than that, all the options they wanted to test were covered.

They discussed whether they should send the specifications they had to the app maintenance team or wait to see if they would have any revision.  It was decided that Jeff would plan to meet with someone from the app maintenance team to review what they had so far and seek their advice on how to proceed.  Steve told Jeff that he should try to meet with them this week, but if they were not available until next week that he would like to attend that meeting.

Since Matt could not be present at either meeting that week, Jeff planned to meet with him on Thursday to inform him of the progress and to check on the status of approving him and Brad as trainers for the belts.

The meeting ended early enough that Jeff was able to get the messages out before lunch.  That afternoon he got a reply about the app and set a meeting for the next morning.

Thursday was a busy day for Jeff.  He met with one of the app designers, Keith.  Jeff explained the general concept and gave him their preliminary ideas about how it should work.  Keith asked questions that Jeff and the group had not considered.  Most had to do with internal controls of the process, such as approving participation in the program and determining who would control various features of the program.  Jeff was able to answer his questions.  Keith informed him that he needed to go through his own approval process for making the changes.  He explained that the code for the app was well designed to handle most new situations that might arise.  Most likely the changes he wanted only required back-end configuration.  Keith said he will review it with the development team but expected it would be very simple to set it up.  The initial setup would likely have a three-day turnaround for configuration and testing once they get approval to proceed.  Minor adjustments during the initial period would likely have a one-day turnaround.  Jeff thanked him for his time and Keith said he would let him know if any questions came and would notify him when the approval came through.

Next Jeff met with Matt.  He updated Matt on what happened at the meeting the day before.  He also updated him about his conversation with Keith.  Matt informed him that he and Brad had been approved as trainers for the belts.  He said that they needed to take an hour class to get certified.  They set that up for that afternoon.  Jeff told Matt that he would let Brad know when he got to his shift in the laundry room.

Matt had a few minutes before he needed to head to his shift, so he used that time to follow up with the two pilot program members who had not yet responded.  When he arrived at the laundry area for his shift, Brad was glad to see him.  Brad was in the middle of folding a load of laundry.  When he saw Jeff, he asked him to check on a load that should be ready to go into a dryer, then to put the next load in the washer.  At that point there was a load in a dryer that was ready to come out to get folded.  Jeff then helped Brad finish the load he was folding, then they worked on the new load that needed to be folded.  While folding, Jeff updated Brad on the meetings he had that morning with Keith and Matt.  Brad was as excited as Jeff about how well things were going.  During their lunch break Jeff and Brad saw David.  They sat together and updated him about the meeting that morning.  At that point the whole team, except Steve who would find out that evening, were current on the status of the project.

After lunch David contacted Master Ray to update him on the progress.  Master Ray made a call to the head of the development team.  He told him that he had an interest in this project.  He wanted the project to go through normal channels.  He did not want the project expedited, but that he wanted to avoid any unnecessary delays.  The head of the development team knew what he meant.  He would discreetly keep an eye on that project.

The next morning, Jeff and Brad went to get into uniform while Steve went directly to his office.  Shortly after, Jeff joined him.  They worked on converting the participants in the pilot program.  The first one took some time as they were slowly and carefully going through the steps.  Each one went a little faster than the previous one as they became more familiar with the process.  It took most of the morning but there was enough time before lunch to compose a message with instructions to the participants and get it sent out.

Once finished converting the accounts, it was time for lunch.  Steve was having lunch with Tony, Matt, and others from the group.  Jeff met Brad and the two of them had lunch together.  Jeff spent the rest of the afternoon working in the laundry with Brad.  Jeff got interrupted a few times to answer questions from some of the participants.  When their shifts were over, Steve, Jeff, and Brad headed home together.

Fortunately, Steve, Jeff, and Brad had planned a quiet weekend.  Jeff received several messages from the members of the pilot group and was able to respond to them with minimal delay.  A few of them wanted to change some of the options they had initially selected.  In a few cases, the changes needed Jeff’s approval.  Although he sometimes asked them for information about why they wanted those changes, he did approve all the requests.

With the app change in place, the chastity pilot program was in full swing.  At the Monday meeting, there were a few questions about the options and some discussion about the changes that people had requested.  They also discussed when and how often someone should be able to make changes.  For the initial phase of the pilot program, Jeff and the others wanted to get as much feedback on the options and encouraged the participants to try a variety of settings and options to get a feel for them.  So Jeff would approve changes more readily than he would for participants after the pilot program was completed.

During the next few weeks, some of the participants tried different options.  There were a few suggested changes to the app configuration.  They got good feedback and by the Thursday meeting of the third week, they felt the plans for the program were in good shape.  The next morning, they got an invitation from Master Ray to join him for a private lunch.

Master Ray then asked when they thought they could start implementing the program.  Slave Jeff said he would like to discuss it further with his team before deciding.  He added that his initial thoughts are that they should be able to add participants to the program at any time with the understanding that the program was still in the early stages and subject to change.  Slave Jeff asked the others if they agreed.  The consensus was that they agreed and asked if they could discuss it after the Monday meeting to make the decision.  Master Ray agreed that was a good idea.  Slave Jeff also said that he would like the participants in the pilot program to continue as they are for at least a few more weeks, even if they did start the program.

With that discussion out of the way, Master Ray asked Master Steve how he was doing in his new position.  He also asked Alpha Matt, slave Jeff and slave Brad how they were doing.  All reported that they were doing well and mentioned some specific things that were going on.  Master Ray suggested that Master Steve should consider scheduling a weekend as a guest at The Resort soon.  He also reminded slaves Jeff and Brad that they would need to spend time as slaves of The Resort soon or their certification might expire.  Master Jeff said he would discuss it with them and see if they could plan something in the next few weeks.

On the way back from lunch, Steve, Matt, Jeff, and Brad walked together.  Steve asked Matt if he would like to be his guest for a weekend at The Resort.  He seemed reluctant, but Jeff and Matt encouraged him.  He agreed.  Jeff and Brad headed off in a different direction to get back to their station.  Steve walked with Matt back to his office to discuss dates.  They settled on the following weekend.  When Steve got back to his desk, he put in a reservation for himself and a guest.  He would have to wait until Jeff and Brad registered as being available as guest slaves before he could request them.

On Monday, the focus group met.  First Jeff got their feedback from the group about how the week went and any suggestion for changes to the program.  There were some good comments.  Nothing that required any changes to the program.  Then Jeff told them that they wanted to start allowing other slaves to participate in the program.  He said that he would like to continue the pilot program with them to get more feedback.  He asked for opinions from the group.  The consensus was that they might still tweak the program, but they thought it was at a point where they could run it live.

After dismissing the pilot program participants, the rest of the group had a few minutes to discuss going live with the program.  They also agreed that they could start the program.  They felt they should limit the number of participants.  They would work out a roll-out plan at the Thursday meeting.  David offered to inform Master Ray unless someone else wanted to do it.  They agreed that it would be fine for David to inform him.

At the Thursday meeting, they worked out the roll-out plan.  They did not know how popular this program might be.  They thought there would be some response, but probably not a huge response.  Just in case, they decided to limit participation to adding no more than 5 per week to start.  They would evaluate the limit on a weekly basis.  Matt was delegated to speak to someone in the marketing group to prepare something for the internal online newsletter.

As they headed to lunch after the meeting, they discussed the plans for the weekend.  Steve and Matt already had what they needed for the weekend.  When they finished their shifts, Jeff and Matt would go to the slave vending machines.  Jeff would meet Matt after he got out of uniform, then they would go to check in at the hotel.  David apologized that he may not get to see them as he was requested as a guest slave for the weekend.
