Just thinking the date and time on a phone is easily manipulated. When I want to make sure someone is till locked up they either have to take a picture with the newspaper (since you can get a date ahead of actual time then you know the earliest date they escaped without permission) or I simply tell the sub a phrase to write down on a piece of paper and have them take a pic. Since the sub would have no idea what I’m going to ask them to write then it is impossible for them to take the picture in advance.
