Simple Torture Game

My friend Riley and I have started adding little torture/interrogation games into our bondage sessions that have proved to very fun, and I thought I pass some of them along! While most of my kinky relationships keep any power imbalances or sub/dom dynamics specific to a short-term scene, I’m sure those of you in longer-term scenes, or in dedicated 24/7 D/s relationships could use these as well.

While we’ve tried a few variations, all the games have had the same core. The sub sets their phone lockscreen passcode to some four digit number and gives their phone to the dom. The sub is restrained however the dom sees fit, and then the dom proceeds to torture the sub until the sub breaks and tells the dom their passcode. Once the dom has gotten into the subs phone the game is over. The (true) passcode acts as an instant stop to the torture.

Back in early February I got to be a test dummy for this game. My friend Riley stripped me naked and tied me to a chair in his kitchen. After about 15 minutes of nipple torture, hot wax, and electric shocks to my thighs and stomach I broke and gave him the password. He unlocked my phone, took a picture of me to send to himself, removed the nipple clamps from me, took off the electrodes, and left me tied to the chair for a good thirty minutes to rest before returning to face fuck me.

All in all, a great time, but when we talked afterward we realized there was more we could do with the premise.

Here’s some of the ideas we have to expand on it, and while I haven’t done all of them, the ones I have gotten to try have been a lot of fun.

TICKING TIMEBOMB:

We realized the sub really should have an incentive to not reveal the passcode at the first little bit of discomfort. Like sure, I guess some subs might be motivated by pride of holding out stoically in the face of pain, but personally when I got clothespins on 18 different points on my body and hot wax coating my back I need a something a little stronger to motivate me to keep quiet.

We came up with the idea of a timer and a punishment/penalty. Once the sub is tied down, the dom starts the timer at a time both he and the sub agreed on. If the dom gets into the subs phone before the timer runs out, the sub suffers some sort of pre-agreed-upon punishment. But, if the sub makes it the whole time without revealing the true passcode, the dom has to take the agreed upon punishment.

The punishment/penalty can be a variety of things. It could be something sexual. While me and Riley tend to be pretty vers, we once decided in one of these games that the loser had to be the other persons’ on-call bottom for the week. I tickled Riley with no remorse, and sure enough got to spend the next seven days using his ass whenever I felt even the slightest bit horny. We’ve also used this game as a way to push ourselves on some bdsm limits. Wagering things that we’d wanted to do to each other or have done to us, but had always backed out of in a normal scene.

The punishment/wager can also be something non-sexual in nature. So far we’ve wagered “loser pays for dinner,” “loser is designated driver” and “loser has to do fridge runs for the winner for the rest of the night.” Pretty basic and not super exciting wagers on their own, but I will say that deciding who picks up the tab at the end of the night becomes a lot more exciting when you’re strung up with your hands above your head and edged to the point of breaking.

Of course you could always use this game as a way to decide who is the sub for the rest of the night; loser spends the night tied up at the winners’ mercy. Added benefit of this wager is the fact that if the sub loses the dom already has them helpless AND knows exactly the best ways to make them suffer, while if the dom loses they have to suffer the humiliation of untying the sub and then the subsequent revenge the former sub will no doubt enact on their now defenseless body. Me and Riley tended to use this wager a lot, for obvious reasons, and it led to us developing another way to play.

UNLOCK – RELOCK

This version of the game uses the same core objective -the dom tries to get a hidden passcode by torturing a sub before a timer reaches zero- but rather than having some punishment in place when the timer reaches zero, instead, the motivation is that the sub of the next round is the loser of the current round. So if the dom extracts the passcode, he pauses all torture, gives the sub a break (though the sub remains bound), releases one of the subs hands so they can change the passcode on their phone to something else, and then rebinds the sub for another round of torture. BUT, if the dom fails to get the passcode, he has to untie the sub and take his place in the next round.

There are many benefits to this version, and it is probably my favorite. For one, fear of torture is a great motivator to endure current torture, and fear of what a sub you just interrogated will do to you is a very good fire under your feet for getting the code from your sub. After keeping Riley my prisoner for three rounds he finally held out the full time and won his turn to dom. He taunted me the whole time he tied me down on the sawhorse, and I remember shaking and flinching before the torture began. I knew I was fucked when he put a gag in my mouth. For the first half of the time he tortured me and I had literally no way out, with the gag filling my mouth I couldn’t say the code that would buy me my respite. This man was on a mission to make me suffer, and waited until the last three minutes to remove the gag. At which point I gave the code immediately.

Another great outcome of this version is that the frequency at which the dom and sub can switch wildly. Some days you’ll have rounds were you just keep going back and forth, holding out for the chance to hurt your friend. Other times you get in a sub-loop: trapped round after round unable to endure long enough to get your chance at freedom and revenge. As I found out that night I spent a little over two hours tied to Riley’s bed. The feeling of having just been tormented to the point of confession, just to know that in a few minutes you’ll have to endure it all again, is particularly maddening.

When you and your friends play this you can adjust some things to make switching roles easier or harder. You can introduce hard limits (things that a dom can’t do to a sub), you can shorten the timer, or you can put in a mercy rule. Me and Riley have also played a few times were each round the dom has to pick one kind of torture, and then can’t do that same torture again until the roles have switched. This worked out nicely because I can’t bear tickling for very long, and so the aforementioned two hours of periodic torture really just was Riley tickling me in intervals. This is also fun because it forces the dom to get creative with the way the inflict pain. Like in this round I can only use clothespins on Riley, how can I use them in a way that will hurt him the most. If you’re working on building resilience, training a sub, or trying to get a naïve friend trapped in the sub-loop this might not be for you, but me and Riley have definitely had our fun with it.

OUTLAST

In this version you and your partner compete to see who can last the others’ torture longer. Just like in the other versions one person starts as the dom and the other person starts as the sub, but unlike in the other versions, in this version you set a stopwatch rather than a timer. Once the first sub breaks and the dom gets into their phone, the dom stops the stopwatch, unties the sub, and the two switch places. The new dom tortures the new sub until they get a confession, the two compare times, and whoever lasted longer before giving up the code is the winner. This is another good version of the game to have wagers and punishments for the loser.

MULTIPLE PEOPLE

All these other versions have been ways of playing me and Riley have tried. With covid right now we’ve been keeping kinky fun to just the two of us, but we have many ideas I thought I’d share with you, that we hope to try when this pandemic is over.

The first is a competition between to doms. One poor unlucky sub (or perhaps one that lost a previous game) gets tied down. Dom #1 tortures them for the passcode, while Dom #2 waits with a stopwatch. When Dom #1 successfully gets the passcode from the suffering sub, Dom #2 stops the stopwatch. They give the sub a chance to breathe and reset their phone passcode, and then Dom #2 takes their turn torturing the sub while Dom #1 times them. Whichever dom got the confession faster, wins.

For wagers in the dom-contest, the punishment/wager should really just be between the doms. Of course the previously mentioned wagers are all good to use here, but Riley has the idea that between doms you could have positive wagers. Stuff like, the winner gets to use the sub for the night, or the winner choses the next bondage scene. I’m sure you all can come up with more creative rewards for sadistic doms and punishments for gentle ones then we could.

What really excites me about a dom vs dom round is the endless loop possibility. Maybe the dom who loses becomes the new sub, and the sub is released to join the winner as a new dom challenger. This can keep going, with the best torturer of each round staying safe, but always under threat of being ousted by someone who just got done being tortured and is determined not to face the pain again.

We’ve also talked about sub-vs-sub contests. With subs competing to outlast each other at the hands of the same sadistic dom. You could do wagers for this one, or do a whole “loser stays tied up, while winner gets to go free” thing, but this version also has the chance for multi-round games. A dom could keep the subs tied up and do a best two out of three game, or best three out of five game, or honestly keep this torture game going as long as the dom is enjoying himself. It’s not like the subs can do anything about it anyway.

So far this is what me and Riley have got. It’s been a lot of fun… playtesting… this game for you all, and it’s led to some incredibly hot bondage scenarios and memorable kinky moments. Let me know if you have any idea for these; it’s a simple premise, but I think it has a lot of room for cool and cruel variations.

  1. I love every aspect of what you’ve described here. The setup spurs creativity and the back-and-forth trading resonates very well with my particular kink. Here’s where I’d go next with it: mind games. For instance, in the Ticking Timebomb variant, set TWO timers: a real one for 30 minutes and a decoy for 20. The sub thinks he’s held out past the necessary time but… oooops, sorry, turns out no, he hasn’t… . Any given trick can only work once, but that just spurs more creativity. (And of course, keep the tricks safe and within the rules that the players have agreed on.)
