Saturday afternoon.
Party planners.
We finish our tea and Tim puts our mugs into his dishwasher.
“Tim may I make a couple of requests please?” He nods.
“Yes Rupe of course.” I grin.
“Would you mind if I don’t wear a ball weight tonight please?” He nods.
“Sure Boy, no problem. What else?”
“I do not want to be plugged tonight. I don’t know why exactly. I am a bit nervous and I want to be compliant and do my best for you, Per and Zeb too.”
I feel ashamed and stare down at the floor.
“That is also no problem. Please tell me how you are feeling?”
I look up and must have looked surprised.
“It is ok Rupe I am not going to punish you or anything like that.” I nod.
