I just stumbled across this photo set and instantly recognized the setting: the L.U.R.E. bar in New York City. Look closely and you’ll spot the Pork sign behind the cage — that gives it away. This was from the Wednesday night party at the L.U.R.E., though back then I had a 9-to-5 office job in Manhattan, so staying out that late was usually a no-go. Fridays and Saturdays were my nights instead. That was the rhythm of my life in the 1990s.
