Tying the knot

Do you like to tie knots? I sure do! But you know that.

I am not only interested in the literal kind of knots involving rope, but also the figurative kind. That’s right, I’m talking marriage. Tying the knot. Entering into wedlock. The old ball and chain. Conjugal bonds. You get the idea.

This week I attended the wedding of my good friends Alan and Dave. They happen to live in one of the few states where same-sex couples are able to marry.

Unfortunately, most gays and lesbians in this country are not allowed to marry under the laws of the states in which they happen to reside. Even worse, federal legislation enacted by the U.S Congress and signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1996 bars any federal recognition of same-sex marriage and prevents any of the legal rights afforded to opposite-sex married couples from being granted to same-sex partners.

That means same-sex couples in long-term, committed relationships have to have to jump through all sorts of legal hoops for things like signing up for each other’s health insurance. If you are a same-sex couple who wants to file a joint federal tax return – even in a state where same-sex marriage is not illegal — you’re out of luck. And don’t even think of leaving your Social Security benefits — which you have worked your whole life to accrue — to one another when one of you dies. What we have is anti-gay discrimination. And it is wrong.

EVERYONE should have the right to TIE THE KNOT.

Congratulations, Alan and Dave, on your marriage! I am so happy for you both, and I am completely 100% supportive of you and of your civil rights.

Update from Metalbond

I have been traveling for the past month on the West Coast.

I spent two weeks in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I did some sightseeing, attended Giants and A’s baseball games, and had a few awesome play dates. My host — an athletic, kinky leather dude and very good friend — was awesome. He locked me up in some creative bondage, and he introduced me to some intense body punching and other types of CP. (I was surprised how much I was able to take.) One night we went to Chaps and then Powerhouse, where we ran into fellow bloggers Mister Kristofer and Master Dro. Also in San Francisco, we went to Alcatraz, where I got my picture taken in some of the cells (yes, I will be posting pictures of this). I also got my hair cut at Joe’s Barbershop.

I did not stay in San Francisco for Folsom, maybe next year. Instead I flew on to Hawaii, where I spent 10 days on Maui and Oahu. While on the islands I did a lot of stuff in the water, including swimming and snorkeling — and I even took a surfing lesson! And did you know that Maui has an old prison? It’s not as famous as Alcatraz, but it’s interesting nonetheless. So of course I had to visit that (and yes I will be posting pictures of the Maui prison as well).

When I returned to NYC my email inbox was filled with messages, pictures and some new stories. I was especially excited to hear from an old friend who is an incredible author, who promises some brand new bondage fiction that is going to be a huge hit. Trust me on this. So keep checking back here, there will be lots more coming. I have so much to post!

Jack McGeorge

I learned over the weekend with great sadness about the death of Jack McGeorge.

Jack was into some very serious locking metal bondage — among many other interests and life passions. And he was completely out and open about his interests, not only in his personal life but in his work and professional life as well.

I will always remember the GMSMA meeting in New York several years back when Jack locked me in a cravat in front of about 100 other guys. He asked for a volunteer, and I must have been the first guy to raise his hand. And he told a great story about flying home from overseas with spiked leg irons in his luggage, and telling the security agents all about them and what they were for.

A weekend at bondage camp

I had a fantastic time this past weekend with 240-something amazing men.

I spent time in chains and other forms of serious locking metal restraint, and I also spent some time putting others in restraints of various forms. From the first night when I was locked down and stroked off (thanks, Bill and Ken … you guys are awesome!) to the strict metal hogtie (thanks Max!) to the various meals that I hobbled to under the control of some very interesting men (you have no idea how much I am into you guys!) to the last night when I enjoyed pissing on several other guys in Cabin V (fuck that was hot!) — I enjoyed every minute of the play weekend!

To all of you who were there — from alpha to beta to gamma to delta — thank you so very much for keeping my cock hard! I am still hard now just thinking about it!
