For those who are attending the 20th Folsom Street East today (June 18), be aware that the New York Bondage Club will be holding its regular Sunday night play party afterward, from 6 pm to 1 am!
The guys from the New York Bondage Club say this is the single BEST play party of the year! Not to be missed.
Also check them out NEXT WEEK after NYC Gay Pride, when they will meet from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Remember, if it is SUNDAY it is BONDAGE DAY in NYC!

Here’s a follow-up to this recent post about the infamous Mineshaft — the gay s/m underground club in NYC.
The pictures above, including one of proprietor Wally Wallace (of blessed memory) are from the Leather Archives Tumblr page.
They posted a short history here.
This Sunday — AFTER the Black Party — you can go to a play party at the New York Bondage Club.
Or you can skip the Black Party altogether and just go to the Bondage Club.
This Sunday, April 2, from 7pm to 1am

Check out the dress code from the Mineshaft:
Does anybody remember the Mineshaft? That was before my own time, but I did know its manager, Wally Wallace — who was a fixture of NYC’s gay leather scene for decades. According to legend, Wally once denied entry to the Mineshaft to Elton John, because the pop star showed up in violation of the above-mentioned dress code.
As for me, the closest I ever got to the Mineshaft was seeing the 2012 Off Off Broadway play “A Night at the Mineshaft.”
You can read articles about the Mineshaft here and here.

And, for a feel of that era, also check out the 1980 movie “Cruising.”
