Does anybody remember the Mineshaft? That was before my own time, but I did know its manager, Wally Wallace — who was a fixture of NYC’s gay leather scene for decades. According to legend, Wally once denied entry to the Mineshaft to Elton John, because the pop star showed up in violation of the above-mentioned dress code.
As for me, the closest I ever got to the Mineshaft was seeing the 2012 Off Off Broadway play “A Night at the Mineshaft.”

Foot Men join the New York Bondage Club
Hey guys, this coming Sunday (March 5) the guys from Foot Men will be joining the New York Bondage Club.
According to NYBC, last time Foot Men joined the club they had over 130 guys at the party. They get to the party before 8:30, so come early so you don’t miss any of the action. There will be guys on the ground worshipping feet, tickling, getting restrained, bondage, CBT, rope, electro, fisting, flogging, and more. They will also have all the regualar stuff going on as well. The party starts off more social and then gets going strong. Mix, mingle, chat, play.

That’s right — Tonight (Sunday, Feb 26) it’s a Black-Tied Leather Party at the New York Bondage Club. You can get a discount for wearing leather, or going naked or for wearing a jock with a bow tie.
And next week (Sunday, March 5) — it’s the return of Foot Men for another foot fetish party at the New York Bondage Club.

Those who were around in the mid 90s might remember the Men of Discipline. Here are some pictures I stole off their website a long time ago:
If I remember correctly, they had chapters in NYC, Washington DC and San Francisco. I used to secretly watch two of their founding members, Julio and Tom, walking up and down the Christopher Street piers on Sunday afternoons.
