‘Prison System 4614’ (German: ‘Haftanlage 4614’)

You guys have to check this out! It’s a documentary film called “Prison System 4614” (German: “Haftanlage 4614”) that is playing in Berlin as part of the International Film Festival in Berlin (Berlinale) that is going on right now! It’s about a private prison where paying guests can get locked up. The description reads in part,

“Even when using the whip these ‘torturers’ never forget to be humane and, in spite of their tough prison warder guise, they are fully aware, in a way that is almost caring, of their responsibility for those in ‘detention.’”

The film is directed by Jan Soldat.

More information about “Prison System 4614” (German: “Haftanlage 4614”), including show times, is available here and here.

ALSO: The director, Jan Soldat, also made a documentary film about Klaus, a man and his desire to live as slave.

Tom Cruise muzzle in Mission Impossible 3

Did anyone see the movie Mission Impossible 3? Tom Cruise wears a modified version of this head muzzle. (If you rent the DVD, the scene starts at 1 hour 13 minutes in).  Apparently they modified it somewhat, so that his face was not covered up.

The muzzle pictured above is from Sinvention — a company in Canada that sells high-quality, handcrafted bondage gear. Here is their description of the above-mentioned muzzle:

“If a non speaking sub is what you desire or full control of their head then this muzzle is for you,” Sinvention writes. “Adjustable from very small (shown above) to large without sacrificing functionality is how we have designed this padded muzzle and collar. Everything will stay in the center and aligned to your subject’s unique cranium and neck. We have also crafted this headpiece with minimal rivets. Mostly sewn construction allows for hours of comfortable wearing. Constructed of English bridle leather with a soft garment leather lining.”

UPDATE: You can see an auction for the modified item used in the movie, plus a picture of Tom Cruise wearing it, over at Prop Store by clicking here.

Metalbond reader sees Jerry O’Connell tied up at the gym

A while back, a Metalbond reader sent me this information and a few pictures that he took from the gym treadmill:

Dear Metal,

At the gym, on the treadmill. Some show starring a young Jerry O’Connell — the chubby kid from Stand By Me who grew up to be a total stud — called “Sliders” comes on. Never heard of it. Wasn’t really watching. Then I looked up and … there’s Jerry, tied up, covered in electrodes, being zapped somehow. It was … hot.

A later scene had him strapped to a gurney. You might want to ask your readers to hunt this thing down for better pictures.

Thanks for passing this along! Jerry O’Connell also gets tied up in the movie Tomcats:

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

I saw this movie on TV when I was a kid and I think it is what cemented bondage in my mind, forever.

6a00d83454b17a69e201156e72a16c970c-800wiThe part of the movie where the ship is attacked by the giant squid had a huge impact on me. It was described at the time (1954) as “the most thrilling sequence ever photographed in motion picture history.” I remember watching this as a kid, with my dad, and being at once terrified — and also incredibly turned on — by seeing the tentacles of the monster grab the sailors. Once a sailor was in the tight grip of the squid, there was nothing he could do escape.

Anyway back to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This was a well-made movie spectacle, and it featured a very young Kirk Douglas, who looks like a total hunk in his red and white striped shirt. If you have never seen this movie, I recommend you put it in your Netflix queue immediately. Or you can get it on Amazon.

See below for the movie trailer.

(HINT: the squid attack starts at 3:40.)
