Matt looked at his squad mates. There was a look of awe and respect on their faces. In front of them was a guy hanging by thick, muscled arms from a beam across the ceiling of the cellar. His head was down on his chest, and sweat poured down his body.
Around his wrists and hands were leather binders, secured by multiple straps and padlocks. The steel suspension rings on his palms were padlocked to the beam. Round his ankles were another set of straps, but they were not tied off and his feet were loose.
The bunched muscles of his back, from his neck to his lower rib cage, was shining red with occasional purple stripes. His butt, clenched and hard, shone in a similar colour. Red and purple stripes ran down the sides of his chest and thighs. The sweat shone in strong lighting, focused on him in an otherwise darkened room.
His balls hung low between his legs, held down by a steel band. They, too, were red and flushed. A chain was padlocked around his neck.
What kind of pervert would take a tour of a famous battleship, then head right for the BRIG? A Metalbond reader, of course. Check out the picture below and the information sent in by an anonymous reader of this blog:

Dear Metal,
The New Jersey was very cool. I took the self-guided tour, and enjoyed the berthing areas, Marines’ compartments — and the brig. There are no sinks or toilets in the brig cells, so the prisoners have to be escorted by a Marine to the head. I’m guessing they’re cuffed and/or shackled for the excursion. There are three cells right next to each other, each just barely bigger than the fold down bunk. Inmates were only served bread and water in the brig, for up to three days. If longer than three days, they were escorted by the Marines to the mess deck.

I have asked this before and I will ask it again: If there are any Metalbond readers who have undergone this type of training, please contact me!
Thanks to DC Guy and RH for emailing me about this!
I enjoyed listening to “Sir Yes Sir” — the latest podcast over at No Safe Word.
The episode features Pup Jimmy (pictured above) and Skuff Pup, from the Army Reserves and Marine Corps, respectively, discussing their experiences, as well as Daddy Tony, who served in the Navy. For me, it was particularly interesting to hear three different perspectives — pre-Don’t-Ask-Don’t-Tell (Daddy Tony); Don’t-Ask-Don’t-Tell (Skuff Pup) and post-DADT (Pup Jimmy). Way to go, guys!
Episode 99 – Sir Yes Sir is available here.
Shameless plug: Also be sure to check out the Metalbond podcast from November 2013, available here.
